Job Description

This Software Engineer III position focuses on Google Cloud's VM Manager. Responsibilities include participating in production, staging, and test environment improvements; contributing to technical debt reduction; documenting system changes; implementing features under Team Lead guidance; and participating in on-call rotations. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-stack development (Java, Python, Golang, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS), data structures and algorithms, Linux, and ideally experience with large distributed systems. The role involves working on projects critical to Google's needs, offering opportunities for team and project changes. The position is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years software development experience
2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
2+ years full-stack development experience
Linux OS experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Experience using Linux operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with the production systems.
Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills.
Interest in working with the large distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in production, staging and test environments improvements.
Participate in technical debt reduction analysis and actively participate in implementation efforts.
Document the changes to the system, so it is easily accessible to others.
Implement improvements and parts of a feature with guidance of a Team Lead.
Participate in the on-call rotations.
