Arηs is seeking a Software QA Engineer with expertise in both automation and manual testing. The role involves designing test plans and test data for functional and integration testing, as well as developing test plans for usability and performance testing. Responsibilities include executing test cases, monitoring test sessions, reporting defects, and performing quality checks. The engineer will also analyze and execute regression tests, review test scenarios and scripts, and document all testing activities. Automation responsibilities include implementing functional automated tests using Selenium with Java for the front-end, developing automated back-end tests with JUnit, creating and executing API tests with Postman, and designing/running performance tests with Locust. The role also involves supporting application releases by stabilizing and monitoring automated test executions, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining the existing automated test suite.
Must have:
  • 3 to 5 years of testing experience
  • Solid understanding of testing principles
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Proficiency with JIRA/Xray
  • Selenium with Java (mandatory)
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Documenting/troubleshooting defects
  • Excellent English communication
Good to have:
  • Experience with SoapUI, GitHub, Jenkins

  • ISTQB certification

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans and create test data for functional and integration testing based on business and technical requirements
  • Develop test plans for usability and performance testing aligned with non-functional requirements
  • Execute test cases, monitor test sessions, report defects, and perform quality checks after issue resolution
  • Analyze, identify, and execute regression tests to ensure existing functionality is not affected by code changes
  • Review specifications, test scenarios, scripts, and test data prepared by other team members
  • Document all testing activities, including test plans, traceability matrices, daily test session reports, and final test summaries
  • Monitor and follow up on daily quality assurance metrics

Automation Testing Responsibilities:

  • Implement functional automated tests for the front-end using Selenium
  • Develop automated back-end tests using JUnit
  • Create and execute API tests using Postman
  • Design and run performance tests using Locust
  • Support application releases by stabilizing and monitoring automated test executions
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain and improve the existing automated test suite

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a testing environment within cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Practical experience in writing and maintaining test scripts using scripting languages
  • Proficiency with test management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA and Xray
  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium with Java (mandatory)
  • Familiarity with tools such as SoapUI, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Strong skills in documenting and troubleshooting software defects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Any ISTQB certification will be considered a strong asset.
