Job Description

The Sr. Manager of Public Policy for EMEA will lead engagement in the region, shaping policies to align with business objectives and values. Responsibilities include developing and executing public policy strategies, engaging with policymakers, analyzing legislative developments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, representing the company in industry associations, contributing to policy positions, and managing external consultants. This role requires a deep understanding of European regulatory frameworks and a strong network within EU institutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Public Policy professional to lead our engagement across the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in shaping and advocating for policies that align with our business objectives and values. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of European regulatory frameworks, a robust network within EU institutions, and a proven track record of architecting policy campaigns to influence policy in the tech sector. This role also requires close coordination with a global team of Comms & Policy professionals to ensure alignment and consistency across regions.


How you’ll make an impact:
  • You will develop and execute comprehensive public policy strategies to advance our interests across the EMEA region.
  • You will engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to advocate for favorable policy outcomes.
  • You will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments relevant to our business, providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Trust & Safety, and Product to ensure alignment on policy positions and messaging.
  • You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to craft clear and actionable policy position on complex issues. 
  • You will represent the company in industry associations, coalitions, and at public events to build and maintain our reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
  • You will contribute to the development of policy positions, white papers, and consultation responses on key issues affecting our operations.
  • You will manage external consultants and advisors to support our public policy objectives.


We could be a match if:
  • You have a degree in law, policy, or other relevant discipline.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or public policy with a focus on the consumer tech space.
  • You understand deeply EU legislative processes and regulatory environments, particularly concerning competition, digital policy, data protection, and emerging technologies.
  • You have a strong network within EU institutions, national governments, and relevant industry bodies such as think tanks, public interest groups, and industry trade groups.
  • You are an excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively, and willingness to travel on occasion to do so.
  • You have a proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment, with the ability to contribute to business goals by identifying and anticipating policy and regulatory opportunities and risks.
  • You’re fluent in English – proficiency in another European language is a plus (French or German).
