Enphase Energy is seeking an SDET for its software products. This role involves collaborating with product managers, business owners, and developers to ensure high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities include analyzing and improving the quality of cloud services and applications throughout the product lifecycle, from design to validation. The SDET will own the end-to-end quality of the system under test, design and execute manual and automated tests on APIs, databases, and UI layers, and act as the gatekeeper for product quality. The position also involves defining and executing non-functional tests, debugging issues, and assisting developers in creating robust software. The candidate will drive quality metrics and report on system quality daily. They will also improvise test case designs, focusing on negative testing, repeatability, data validation, impact, and risk-based testing, while working in an agile environment.
Must have:
- Own complete E2E quality of system under test
- Design high-quality test cases to improve system quality
- Help team design test cases, review work, and give feedback
- Add manual and automated tests on APIs, database, and UI
- Act as gatekeeper for product quality
- Define, write, and execute non-functional tests
- Debug issues and help developers
- Drive quality metrics and report on system quality
- Improvise test case designs (negative, repeatability, risk-based)
- Work in agile environment, early to market
- Identify integration points and design tests
- BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years in software development/testing
- 5+ years testing high scale applications with distributed architecture
- Excellent programming and debugging skills
- Experience in negative testing
- Provide out-of-box solutions for quality
- Strong understanding of cloud, databases, performance tradeoffs
- Go-getter attitude, capable of pursuing tough challenges
- Lean/Agile attitude
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Team player/builder with a can-do attitude
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Experience in providing estimates, planning, and committing to deliverables
- Strong technical and leadership skills

About the Role
The Enphase cloud team is looking for a SDET for its software products. In this role, you will work with product managers, business owners and developers to assess the quality of software products at par with best-in-class solutions in the market.
You will be responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for improving the quality of our cloud services and applications across our ecosystem. You will be involved in every part of the product cycle, from high-level design to development and validation.
What you will do:
- Own the complete E2E quality ownership of the system under test
- Able to design test cases that are of high quality which helps improving quality of the system
- Help team to design good test cases, review their work and give feedback
- Add manual and automated tests on APIs, database and UI layer
- Be the gate keeper on the quality of the product
- Define, write, and execute non-functional tests and analyze results.
- Debug the issues and help developers to design the best software product.
- Drive quality metrics on system under test, be responsible for quality of the system.
- Analyse the tests, progress of the tests and report to the management on the quality of the system on day-to-day basis
- Improvise the test case designs, negative tests, repeatability tests, data validation, impact and risk-based testing.
- Able to work on agile, early to market without any compromise on quality
- Able to identify different integration points with downstream and upstream applications and design tests to cover them.
Who you are and what you bring:
- BE/BTech in Computer science Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in software development/testing
- 5+ years of experience testing high scale applications with distributed architecture
- Excellent programming skills and ability to debug issues at the code level, development experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in negative testing
- Provide out of box solution to deliver quality in a fast-paced development organization.
- Strong understanding of cloud, databases, and performance tradeoffs .
- Go-getter attitude and capable of pursuing tough engineering challenges to final solutions.

- Good at stakeholder management
