Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are essential building blocks for data infrastructure. This role is within the Custom Compute & Storage (CCS) BU, focusing on high-performance data processing silicon platforms for Carrier, Cloud/Enterprise, and Automotive Compute markets. As a Staff Post-Silicon Validation Engineer, you will validate HDD controllers and data center products, develop test plans, and support Marvell IPs from architecture to design. Responsibilities include electrical characterization, functional validation, board bring-up, debugging, and preparing test reports, collaborating with hardware and tools teams.
Must have:
  • Contribute to post-silicon validation of HDD controller and data center products.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including electrical characterization and functional validation of IP components.
  • Support validation of Marvell IPs by engaging early in architecture and design phases.
  • Review specifications, assess design testability, and develop effective test strategies.
  • Collaborate with hardware board design, layout, and tools engineering teams.
  • Support board bring-up, debugging, and test report preparation.
  • Provide assistance to field application engineers.
  • Proficiency and prior experience in post silicon validation of mixed signal/analog/digital ICs/transceivers and similar blocks.
  • Familiar with C/C++/Python SW development skills.
  • Adept in handling test analog equipment like oscilloscopes, AWG, network analyzers.
  • Analyze test results and generate professional validation reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related fields and 3-12 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 2-10 years of experience.

What You Can Expect

Marvell is looking for an experienced Staff Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to support validation efforts within the Data Center Custom Compute Group (DCE-CCS BU). In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to post-silicon validation of the HDD controller and other data center products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, including electrical characterization and functional validation of IP components.
  • Support the validation of all Marvell IPs by engaging early in the architecture and design phases—reviewing specifications, assessing design testability, and developing effective test strategies
  • Collaborate closely with the hardware board design and layout teams, as well as the tools engineering team, to support board bring-up, debugging, and test report preparation. Also provide necessary assistance to field application engineers

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related fields and 3-12 years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree in electronics Engineering or related fields with 2-10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency and prior experience in post silicon validation of mixed signal/analog/digital ICs/transceivers and similar blocks is required
  • Familiar with C/C++/Python SW development skills
  • Must be adept in handling test analog equipment like oscilloscopes, AWG, network analyzers etc..
  • Experience with HDD, Read channel, SAS, and SATA will be advantageous
  • Candidate should be flexible, proactive and have the ability to work in a team
  • Able to work across disciplines and manage time across several demands and work on a given task independently
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • Analyze the test results and generate professional validation reports.
