Job Description
This is a contract position for a data expert to support CSV data processing systems. The role involves onboarding new files and maintaining current files using Talend, CSVs/spreadsheets, and Java/Python. The responsibilities include building and tweaking data pipelines, writing scripts for automation and data verification, ensuring data accuracy, supporting data transformation and reporting, communicating issues, assisting with support requests, and maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information. The role requires working between 9 AM and 5 PM EST, with a focus on data transformation and data audits.
Must Have:
- Experience with data pipeline and data transformation.
- Proficiency in Talend and Java/Python.
- Ability to work with sensitive data.
- Experience with CSVs and spreadsheets.
- Comfortable with data auditing and QA checks.
We are seeking a data expert with strong data pipeline, data transformation, and data analytics skills to support our company’s CSV data processing systems.
This would be a 2-4 month contract (around 20/hours a week), focused on onboarding new files and maintaining current files in our CSV data processing systems using Talend, CSVs/spreadsheets, and Java/Python in order to perform data transformations and data audits.
- You must be able to work between 9AM and 5PM EST.
- You must be comfortable working with sensitive data.
Expectations
- Complete onboarding tasks in Talend and Java/Python, including onboarding new files, running backfilling scripts, and performing post-onboarding audits.
- Build and tweak data pipelines using Talend and Java/Python.
- Write small scripts that will help automate the data processing and data verification.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems (CSV/spreadsheets, Talend, databases, SQL queries, API results).
- Support data transformation and reporting certifications, including QA and data quality checks.
- Communicate issues clearly and proactively with team members and stakeholders
- Assist with support requests and client support issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information during all data handling processes.
- Adhere to company security and compliance processes, standards, and tools.
