OLG is seeking a passionate Talent Sourcing Advisor for an 18-month temporary contract. This role provides specialized sourcing expertise for executive, highly technical, and hard-to-fill positions. The advisor acts as a market specialist, developing pipeline strategies in partnership with leadership and HR. Responsibilities include leading innovative sourcing, recruitment activities, and providing subject matter expertise to the team. The role involves leveraging ATS, researching industry trends, and strengthening OLG's employer brand to attract qualified candidates.
Must have:
  • Partner in pipeline development strategy for specialized roles.
  • Lead innovative sourcing strategies and advertisements.
  • Lead recruitment activities, including interviews and offer negotiation.
  • Act as a referral point for staffing and sourcing issues.
  • Provide specialized knowledge of job market conditions and salaries.
  • Support execution of strategies to strengthen employer brand.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and best practices.
  • Leverage ATS and talent acquisition tools for recruitment data.
  • Coach, lead, and train new team members.
  • Participate in various Talent Acquisition projects.

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Talent Sourcing Advisor to provide specialized sourcing expertise for executive, highly technical and/or hard to fill roles within a designated portfolio. The role acts as a market specialist for positions within their designated portfolio, delivering on a pipeline development strategy in partnership with divisional leadership, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners. As the most senior team member, the Talent Sourcing Advisor provides subject matter expertise, guidance and issues resolution for team members within designated portfolio.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will be empowered to:

  • Partner in the implementation of a pipeline development strategy to proactively source talent for specialized, niche or hard to fill positions at all levels of the organization to support the staffing of talent in a timely manner.
  • Lead innovative sourcing strategies, approaches and advertisements aimed at appealing to designated talent market.
  • Lead recruitment and selection activities for sourced roles, including, prescreening interviews, development of interview guides and negotiate job offers in a manner that enhances the candidate experience
  • Act as a point of referral for Senior TA & Brand Specialists and Coordinators, within assigned portfolio, for questions and issues related to staffing and sourcing activity.
  • Act as the source for specialized knowledge of job market conditions and availability of talent and salaries for roles within the specified divisions to guide in the planning, strategy and distribution of recruitment for those areas.
  • Identify and support the execution of strategies for strengthening OLG’s employer brand through various online channels to attract highly qualified candidates and achieve hiring objectives.
  • Conduct research regarding industry trends and best practices; make recommendations and assist in the development of recruitment processes and practices to continually improve the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Leverage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and talent acquisition tools to maintain recruitment information, handle talent pipeline activity, assess trends and provide insight to management based on reporting and metrics (KPIs).
  • Coach, lead and train new team members to support the development of sourcing and staffing capabilities within the team.
  • Participate in various projects/programs related to Talent Acquisition

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in recruitment, sales or customer focused role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma. Certifications or specialized training in sourcing. e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter (nice to have).

Critical Skills: Sourcing through social media including LinkedIn and other platforms.

Negotiation and Influence: ability to negotiate and influence effectively while being open to perspectives and maintaining strong relationships
