As a Technical Program Manager on the Contributor Success team, you will lead initiatives that drive satisfaction and retention from the business’s highest value AI trainers (contributors). You will work with cross-functional teams like product, finance, contributor support, and delivery operations. You will own key aspects of our retention program focused on the highest value and demanding contributors, understand contributor pain points and needs and design features of the program to address them, build analytics to make data-driven decisions, train, coach, and manage dynamic and global teams, and design and run complex workflows from our retention program.
Must Have:
  • Strong technical background (degree in engineering or computer science is ideal)
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team, developing product or operational processes, or as an SWE
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial experience and mindset

Scale’s Generative AI business unit is currently seeing historic levels of growth. As a Technical Program Manager on the Contributor Success team, you will lead initiatives that drive satisfaction and retention from the business’s highest value AI trainers (contributors). As a TPM you will work with cross-functional teams like product, finance, contributor support, and delivery operations. The ideal TPM should have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be comfortable getting into the weeds, and be excited about intense work that impacts thousands of highly intellectual contributors worldwide.

You will:

  • Own key aspects of our retention program focused on the highest value and demanding contributors 
    • Understand contributor pain points and needs and design features of the program to address them.  
    • Build analytics to make data-driven decisions
    • Train, coach, and manage dynamic and global teams
    • Run tests to optimize the performance of the program
  • Partner with diverse stakeholders (Engineering + Product + Ops + Finance + Support) to deliver an A-Class experience to users.
  • Design and run complex workflows from our retention program. 
  • Expand the program while keeping high standards.

Ideally, you’d have:

  • Strong technical background (a degree in engineering or computer science is ideal, and at minimum, the role requires the ability to do data analytics using SQL or Python).
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team, developing product or operational processes, or as an SWE.
  • Strong problem solving capabilities (experience working on operational challenges is a plus) - ability to come up with creative solutions to complex, ambiguous operational problems
  • Entrepreneurial experience and mindset - you are excited about building things from scratch and are able to identify issues and execute quickly
  • Experience managing large scale workforces and/or retention programs
