Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- 10 years of experience with AI/ML technologies or infrastructure.
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences, spanning all functions and organizational levels.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Set the goal and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives.
- Drive the planning and implementation of the programs and features, working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Engineering Productivity. Establish goals, schedule and milestones. Manage dependencies and anticipate/resolve execution issues.
- Be the trusted owner of the status of the projects/programs. Drive visibility on progress, dependencies, risks, issues to the executives and other stakeholders.
- Engage with the Product Management and Engineering leaders, and other Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to streamline processes, simplify execution, and bring tooling efficiencies, when needed.
- Help the team improve and accelerate their execution.
