Join the Reference Architecture and Accelerations team at Palo Alto Networks as a Technical Solutions Engineer. This role involves creating and maintaining scalable virtual labs and content to demonstrate complex cybersecurity technologies to prospects, customers, and partners. You will also support lab services operations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve systems and documentation. The ideal candidate has a DevOps mindset, loves building labs, and is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience.
Must have:
  • Build, maintain, and enhance virtual labs that demonstrate Palo Alto Networks’ cybersecurity solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate features into engaging, hands-on experiences.
  • Ensure labs are current with the latest product features and releases.
  • Troubleshoot lab issues and support both internal and external users.
  • Develop clear, user-friendly documentation and lab guides.
  • Incorporate user feedback to continuously improve lab environments.
  • Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and participate in ongoing technical development.

Join the Reference Architecture and Accelerations team at Palo Alto Networks as a Technical Solutions Engineer. In this role, you’ll create and maintain scalable virtual labs and content that bring complex cybersecurity technologies to life. These labs help evangelize, differentiate, and position our products for a range of audiences—prospects, customers, and partners.

You’ll also support the day-to-day operations of lab services to ensure a seamless and impactful user experience. If you love building your own labs to tinker, have a DevOps mindset, and are committed to a principle of continuous improvement—leaving code, systems, and documentation better than you found them—this role is for you.

Your Impact

  • Build, maintain, and enhance virtual labs that demonstrate Palo Alto Networks’ cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Python for automating the provisioning and management of resources in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly those related to networking (VPC, VPN, Cloud Router) and compute (Compute Engine, GKE).
  • Ability to design, build, and manage complex virtual lab environments in public cloud for demonstrating product capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, cloud security, and networking (e.g. routing and switching).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues in lab or testing environments.
  • Ability to create clear, user-focused technical documentation and guides.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to support and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-directed with a collaborative approach to team-based projects.
  • While a bachelor’s degree is helpful, we prioritize hands-on experience and the ability to demonstrate technical skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Apprentice and Cybersecurity Practitioner certifications are strongly encouraged.
  • Ability to travel domestically 1–2 times per year.
