This role is positioned at the forefront of Nissan Motor's development division, focusing on creating future competitive advantages through advanced technology development. You will be responsible for proposing next-generation technology strategies for Nissan's future business. This involves comprehensive research and analysis of market trends, competitor strategies, and advanced technologies to identify opportunities and risks. You will collaborate with various departments to visualize and propose future technology roadmaps, ensuring strategic alignment and resource allocation. The role also includes communicating the value of Nissan's advanced technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Experience in market trend and competitor product research and analysis (industry/product irrelevant).
  • Experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Good to have:
  • Experience in product development, new business planning, product planning, marketing, or data analysis.
  • Proficiency with DX tools like Power Apps and Automate.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • TOEIC score of 500.

Department's Responsibilities, Business Overview, Role, and Position

Located at the very upstream of Nissan Motor's development division, excluding the Research & Development Center.

Anticipate internal and external changes from a high and broad perspective, create value that realizes Nissan's future competitive advantage, and promote the necessary technology development for that purpose. Plan technologies to ensure competitive advantage and allocate advanced development resources to execute them. Also, play a role in communicating the value of Nissan's advanced technologies to stakeholders (customers, society, internal).

Specific Job Content

You will be involved in proposing next-generation technology strategies that will drive Nissan Motor's future business.

As an expected role, you will investigate and analyze the value and functions required for future automobiles from various angles, such as social conditions and trends, advanced technologies, and competitor strategies. You will also investigate opportunities and risks, and in cooperation with various departments within the company, visualize and strategically support the future technology roadmap from the current state of each technology field, and propose it.

  • Research and information gathering on market trends and competitor movements
  • Analysis/statistics/visualization of external data sources and the above research results

Workplace Environment and Work Style

Our department is located within the "Nissan Advanced Technology Center" in Atsugi City.

The team, including management, consists of members with various work experiences, and the age range is relatively young, around 30 to 40 years old. We promote daily active communication to share issues and advance our work.

We promote a work style that combines office work and telework according to each member's circumstances.
