Job Description

The Technology Operations Manager at DNEG Animation is responsible for the operational execution of pipeline support teams and resource management for the Animation Technology department. This role focuses on optimizing development and support processes, defining Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and providing regular progress reports. The manager will oversee show support teams, collaborate on staffing decisions, develop support processes and reports, and manage resource-related issues, ensuring consistent global coverage for the DNEG Animation Technology team. This role also involves tracking new hire candidates and responding to weekend work requests.
Must have:
  • Excellent people management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience managing teams in development or production.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork – ability to assemble and motivate teams.

The DNEG Animation Technology Operations Manager is responsible for operational execution of the pipeline support teams and resource management for the Animation Technology department. The Technology Operations Manager focuses on the optimisation of the development and support process, defining Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and providing regular progress reports to the AnimTech and show leadership. 
The Technology Operations Manager reports to the Program Manager and works collaboratively with the Associate Technology Operations Manager in providing consistent and global coverage for the DNEG Animation Technology team. Collaborating closely with the Head of Pipeline of DNEG Animation on resource casting decisions and supporting career growth plans and opportunities for the Pipeline TDs and ATDs. 
The Technology Operations Manager partners with the resource management team at DNEG Animation to provide and receive regular updates regarding resource management procedures and policies.
Responsibilities 
  • Oversee pipeline show support teams.
  • Collaborate with Head of Pipeline on staffing and casting decisions for the support teams. 
  • Develop and maintain triage and prioritization process for the support teams. 
  • Develop and maintain reports for support activity. 
  • Oversee the training and mentorship program in collaboration with the Head of Pipeline.
  • Responsible for resource management questions, including contracts, visas, vacation/holidays, performance reviews. 
  • Field HR related questions in alignment with the resource management team. 
  • Provide staffing requirements and CS updates to DNEG Animation leadership. 
  • Track new hire candidates from screening, to interviews and the onboarding process.  
  • Accountable for maintaining the triage and test release rotas. 
  • Accountable for responding to weekend work requests.
