Job Description
As a leading independent film distributor, PLAION PICTURES brings great cinema to the big screen and to your home. The diverse program ranges from selected cinema films to a library of over 1,400 titles. The company covers the entire value chain from cinema to distribution in its own VOD channels. Highlights of the portfolio include HERETIC, LOVE LIES BLEEDING, ROBOT DREAMS, ANATOMY OF A FALL, THE WHALE, THE WOMAN IN THE MIST, THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, TITANE and PARASITE. The job involves the implementation of cinema campaigns, creating and implementing a repertoire strategy, handling booking requests, planning collaborations, researching film information, creating marketing texts, and managing social media activities. The role also includes assisting with presentations, funding applications, and maintaining distribution lists.
Must have:
- Love cinema and enjoy bringing films to the cinema.
- Work independently, quickly, and in a structured manner, even under time pressure.
- Be sociable and enjoy working in a team.
- Have good knowledge of German and English in spoken and written form.
- Be proficient in the use of common MS Office applications.
Good to have:
- Ideally already have professional experience in the cinema or distribution sector.
- Ideally have experience in content creation for social media platforms.
- Ideally have knowledge in the field of image and video editing.

- Du wirkst bei der Umsetzung von Kino-Kampagnen mit
- Du konzipierst und setzt eine Repertoire-Strategie um – freue dich auf Filme von Wong Kar-Wai, Mathieu Kassovitz, Dario Argento, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, Lars von Trier u.v.a.
- Du bearbeitest Buchungsanfragen von Kinos
- Du planst und realisierst Kooperationen zur Zielgruppenansprache
- Du recherchierst diverse Filminfos, Pressezitate, Box-Office-Ergebnisse etc
- Du erstellst Marketing- und Pressetexte
- Du kümmerst dich um Social-Media-Aktivitäten
- Du hilfst bei der Erstellung von Präsentationen, Förderanträgen etc
- Du pflegst Verteilern, Datenlisten und Presseserver
- Du unterstützt bei der Organisation von Filmpremieren und andere Events
- Du liebst Kino und freust dich darauf, Filme engagiert ins Kino zu bringen
- Du arbeitest selbständig, schnell und strukturiert, auch unter Zeitdruck
- Du bist kontaktfreudig und hast Spaß an der Arbeit im Team
- Du hast idealerweise schon Berufserfahrung im Bereich Kino oder Verleih
- Du bist redegewandt und hast sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Du bist fit im Umgang mit den gängigen MS-Office-Anwendungen
- Du hast optimalerweise Erfahrungen mit Content-Erstellung für Social-Media-Plattformen
- Du hast optimalerweise Kenntnisse im Bereich Bild- und Videobearbeitung
