Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Technology Director by conducting research, coordinating projects and deadlines, handling information requests, communication and scheduling, as well as performing other clerical functions. This role also involves managing, maintaining, and repairing production department equipment, implementing video systems, and overseeing AVL systems church-wide. The Video Engineer will work with audio and video teams to set up recording and streaming systems and design tailored solutions.
Must have:
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support.
  • Provide general project support.
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally and cross-departmentally.
  • Perform data gathering and research.
  • Manage, maintain, and repair production department equipment.
  • Implement and integrate video systems for the production department.
  • Oversee designs, installations, and maintenance requirements for AVL systems church-wide.
  • Set up recording and streaming systems at various locations.
  • Design and develop solutions tailored to specific projects.
  • Maintain current and implement new tech strategies for video systems (e.g., Ross Xpression, Sony Cameras, Ross Acuity, Ross Ultrix, Propresenter).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Audio/Visual industry and/or church live production.
  • Expert knowledge of media, audio, video, and lighting in live and post-video production.
  • Highly tech-savvy, able to learn and master new technology quickly.
  • Experience using Propresenter, Ross Environment, Sony Cameras (F-5500, Venice 1/2, FX3, FX6).
  • Proficient computer skills with Apple, Microsoft, and Google products.

Position Requirements:

HAND (Expectations + Duties):

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support

  • Works with the TD to oversee designs, installations, and maintenance requirements for AVL systems church-wide
  • Work with audio and video teams to set up recording and streaming systems at various locations
  • Design and develop solutions tailored to specific projects when necessary
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Maintain current and Implement new tech strategies as relates to the video system. I.e. Ross Xpression, Sony Cameras, Ross Acuity, Ross Ultrix, Propresenter etc..
  • All other duties as assigned

Head (Knowledge + Training):

  • REQUIRED: Minimum 3-5 years of Experience within the Audio/Visual industry and/or church live production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and good time management skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work under pressure, including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals while managing multiple tasks
  • Expert knowledge of media, audio, video, and lighting in the context of live and post video production
  • Highly tech-savvy, able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly
  • Experience using Propresenter, Ross Environment, Sony Cameras; F-5500, Venice 1/2, FX3|FX6, ect…
  • Ability to train and develop servant leaders on equipment
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a calming manner
  • Must be tenacious in meeting deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and good self-management discipline
  • Be able to work independently; follow established guidelines to accomplish tasks and solve issues.
  • Ability to manage projects to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Proficient computer skills with Apple, Microsoft, and Google products and the ability to learn TC-used databases and technologies
