The Workplace Design Lead is responsible for leading a team of design managers to deliver exceptional workplaces that inspire Apple team members. This role involves establishing aesthetic consistency, creating new design languages, and envisioning how Apple can integrate new technologies and ideas to evolve its brand. The lead will collaborate with architects and design professionals to apply aesthetic rigor, instill Apple's values, and bridge the work of Places with other Apple teams like Industrial Design, Product Design, and Marketing. Key responsibilities include collaborating with divisions to deliver designs embodying Apple's brand, evolving space and interior designs, managing furniture, graphics, and accessories, and driving design innovation for the future of Workplace Design. The role also involves integrating innovative architectural elements, directing global team activities, managing planning, staffing, budget, and expenses, promoting collaboration, presenting design ideas to leadership, staying updated on industry trends, and coordinating major projects. The lead will also mentor design managers and cultivate succession plans.
