Senior Technical Animator

Senior Tech Animator needed with 5+ years experience, expertise in Unreal's animation systems, procedural & adaptive animations, and a strong eye for form and deformation.

As part of the job, you will be a primary point of contact for everything concerning our animation tools and technologies. You will be working closely with Software Engineers, Artists, and Animators to deliver outstanding visual results, meeting the Production Team's quality and schedule expectations.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Animator at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
<ul><li>Work with all aspects of the animation export and implementation pipeline (for Maya and UE)</li><li>Create new animation tools and maintain our animation toolset</li><li>Assist the engineering team with implementing animation-related tools and features</li><li>Support the Animation and character teams in debugging tools or game-related issues</li></ul>

Requirements and qualifications
<ul><li>5+ years of experience in the gaming industry as a tech animator</li><li>Good understanding of Unreal’s runtime animation systems such as state-machines and animation blueprints</li><li>Knowledge of procedural and adaptive animations</li><li>A keen eye for proper form and deformation throughout wide ranges of movements</li><li>Passion for games and game development</li></ul>

Preferred skills
We consider the following skills and previous experiences as a plus:
<ul><li>Experience as an Animator</li><li>Knowledge of Motion Builder</li><li>Knowledge of lower-level programming languages</li><li>Knowledge of Motion Matching</li></ul>
