Community Advocacy Manager

The Community Advocacy Manager at Ubisoft will build and engage a network of advocates within the gaming community.  Responsibilities include developing and executing a structured Advocacy Community Program, identifying and rewarding influential players, fostering a positive community environment across platforms like Discord, and acting as a liaison between the advocate network and internal teams.  The role requires strong communication, moderation, and project management skills, along with experience in community management within the gaming industry.  The manager will also engage with players on social media, manage events, and provide community support.  Success in this role hinges on building authentic relationships with players, identifying community trends, and effectively communicating player needs to internal teams.

						JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Community Advocacy Manager to build and engage a network of advocates within our gaming community. Your mission will be to recruit, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with influential players who can advocate for our games and help bridge the gap between our development team and the wider player base. You will ensure they have access to the latest updates, rewards, and exclusive opportunities to enhance their engagement and amplify our game's reach.As a key member of our local Hub Engagement team, you will serve as a valuable point of contact for a wide variety of players, fans, cosplayers, and podcasters, reinforcing player voice to help support both in &amp; out of game retention. You’ll engage with the community, monitor conversations, and build authentic relationships with players.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Advocacy Program Implementation<ul><li>Develop and execute a structured Advocacy Community Program to nurture and grow our core advocate base while attracting and inspiring new fans to join our communities.</li><li>Collaborate with the Community Developer, Social Engagement Manager and Global &amp; Local Content Creator Managers to champion advocates' needs and enhance player experiences.</li><li>Identify, coordinate, and deliver opportunities/rewards in Discord, focusing on engaging creators and fostering community growth through creative and impactful initiatives.</li></ul>Advocacy Program Engagement, Moderation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Create a positive, inclusive environment across various community platforms (e.g. Discord) to ensure all players feel welcome and valued.</li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to advocates inquiries, feedback, and comments while maintaining a strong pulse on trending topics and key concerns.</li><li>Act as a bridge between the advocates network and internal teams, effectively communicating player needs and priorities to enhance overall experiences, by proactively assessing advocates sentiment, reporting relevant insights, trends, and metrics to Community Developer, Social Engagement Manager and Global Content Creator Manager for continuous improvement in engagement strategies.</li></ul>Community Engagement &amp; Event Management <ul><li>Provides, delivers &amp; follows-up in Discord on Local Opportunities/Rewards​ : Identify key creator opportunities that can both engage and grow our communities in the most creative and positive ways possible.</li><li>Devise and manage contests &amp; other events and facilitate the fulfillment of prize delivery when necessary.</li><li>Plan, organize, and execute local events, including virtual meetups, webinars, and live streams to connect with the advocates community.</li></ul>1:1 Social Media Engagement<ul><li>Community Interaction &amp; Moderation – Engage with players across social media (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) and community platforms (Discord, Steam), moderate discussions, and provide customer support redirection.</li><li>Relationship Building &amp; Advocacy – Develop active relationships with players, identify potential advocates, and strengthen connections with influencers and passionate community members.</li><li>Communication &amp; Reporting – Relay messaging effectively across channels, stimulate discussions, and create pulsepoint/weekly reports on community health, trends, and concerns.</li><li>Live Operations &amp; Support – Assist in live events, monitor outages, manage leaks, and provide real-time community updates during critical moments.</li><li>Opportunity &amp; Issue Identification – Track emerging player concerns, assess community sentiment, and relay insights to internal teams to address issues and optimize engagement strategies.</li></ul>
 Qualifications <ul><li>Proven experience in a community management role, preferred within the entertainment or video gaming industries.</li><li>Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple cross functional teams.</li><li>Previous experience with user moderation and conversation management in a digital/online environment, including experience working with Discord and social media management tools.</li><li>Strong understanding of social media services, mechanics, and trends; especially You Tube, Twitch, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, and Discord.</li><li>Background as a creative and knowledgeable gamer, comfortable with online communities and social media.</li><li>Excellent communication skills required.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment working cross functionally with different partners.</li><li>Strong project management skills, agility &amp; solution driven mindset.</li><li>Native in German and fluent in English.</li></ul>
