The Technical Center of Excellence Maintenance Team ensures the business continuity of our commercial products through the resolution of technical issues due to raw material or processing changes. This includes both analytical and practical experiments to probe how changes in raw materials or manufacturing processes could impact the final product. This team also aids with product investigations when unforeseen issues arise during manufacturing. Our purpose is to address complex technical challenges by providing expert recommendations backed by trusted science such that our customers have the best information available to ensure efficient fulfilment of high-quality products. The team has access to lab and pilot scale facilities to test and investigate material properties of ingredients and products as well as prepare ingredients and products for feasibility, sensory, or regulatory filing studies. We strive to be a trusted central resource on hand to support the business units and manufacturing sites when additional technical resources are needed to maintain our commercial products on the market. The role will provide an opportunity to learn material formulation practices (pharmaceutical and dietary supplement chemistry and regulatory aspects) and unit operations utilizing engineering principles with applications to powder, granulation, compression, and solid oral dose product technology. You will have hands on experience with several different unit operations at lab scale including: mixing, granulation, powder sizing, drying, and compression operations. You will also experience material and product testing, and be exposed to associated lab and study documentation requirements. You will have opportunities to present the outcome of your work.
