2D Animator (preferable on B2B contract)

Yggdrasil Gaming is looking for a 2D Animator to help us continue our quest to make the best casino games in the industry. With heaps of awards and a creative atmosphere driven by innovation and gaming enthusiasm, we are well on the way!

You will be joining a team of consummate professionals who excel in the roles of illustration, game design, art direction and production. We strive to find the very best to add to our team.

Objectives:

• Create quality animations in Spine or After Effects
• Export and optimize animations to create game-ready assets
• Work closely with Art Directors to ensure the animation needs of each project are met in a timely manner
• Actively participate in the Game Development process to create the best games on the market 
• Be a support and mentor for less experienced Animators

• At least 4 years of animation experience
• Proficient using After Effects
• Proficiency using Spine
• Photoshop
• Experienced optimizing animations for web and mobile
• Self-starting, organized and detailed-oriented
• Experience being part of a team in a studio environment: working with Art Directors, Developers and Producers to execute a shared vision
• Welcomes feedback and willing to learn new animation technique
• Casino gaming industry experience

Nice to have:

• Always looking for ways to raise the bar for production values and find efficiencies in the workflow
• Attentive to the point of being obsessive about naming files, layers, and maintaining folder structures
• Experience using asset management and productivity software like Sharepoint & Jira
