2D Artist

Job Description:

A 2D artist should be resourceful and able to translate idea, create vision, and conceive design to meet qualities and requirements. The main role of the 2D artists is to be able to illustrate, design, concept, clean up and copy regarding any arrangement, size, type size and style of projects.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Contributes effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects tasks and functions
• Continually refines artistic abilities and knowledge of new software packages and in-house tools.
• Works efficiently and effectively within technical constraints of a production while generating high-quality artwork.
• Ability to visualize and conceive objects or other elements in a way that contributes to the overall visual quality of the production.
• Communicates regularly with Project Art Lead regarding the status of current tasks
• Obtains Project Art Lead’s guidance and approval as required to advance tasks, project initiatives and milestones.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Have a solid fundamental in colours, perspective, lighting and rendering
• Have a vast imagination, ability to visualize and interpret on ideas and artworks
• Able to design or follow requirement style guide
• Passion for games, animation & design
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software – Adobe products
• Additional skill(s): Autodesk Maya, blender or Unity3D
• Demonstrate strong software skills and always keep emerging technologies in new media
• Able to commit to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
• A good and fun team player and love teamwork
• Flexible and adaptable, able to change or alter direction according to changes
