Job Description

PwC is seeking an Actuarial Senior Manager to lead transformative projects in the life insurance industry. This role involves overseeing diverse engagements such as actuarial audit support, finance transformation, systems implementation, M&A due diligence, and strategic advisory. The manager will advise senior client stakeholders, deliver insights for business decisions, and contribute to team development and practice growth, focusing on complex challenges and sustainable growth.
Good To Have:
  • Fellowship in a recognized actuarial body (SSA or equivalent).
  • German language skills.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools (e.g., Prophet, Pathwise, Excel, R, Python, SAS).
Must Have:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex actuarial projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Advise clients on complex issues such as capital optimization, risk management, product strategy, and regulatory change.
  • Oversee finance transformation projects, including automation, data strategy, and process optimization within the Insurance industry.
  • Lead delivery of actuarial engagements including audit support, Solvency II, IFRS 17 transformation, reserving methodologies, Employee benefits according to IAS 19 and M&A due diligence.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for actuarial matters.
  • Oversee and mentor team members, fostering technical capability and career growth.
  • Drive business development through proposals, networking, and thought leadership.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives including automation, cloud-based actuarial systems, and data governance.
  • Master's degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in English and Slovak language skills.
  • Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience in life and non-life insurance, reinsurance, risk management or consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • Commercial mindset and the ability to identify and capture new opportunities.
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience in providing actuarial counseling.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership style.
