As an Actuarial Senior Manager, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of engagements — from actuarial audit support, large-scale finance transformation and systems implementation to M&A due diligence and strategic advisory.
You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, delivering insights that drive business decisions. At the same time, you’ll play a key role in developing our actuarial team, coaching junior colleagues and contributing to the growth of our practice.
This Senior Manager position would well suit a flexible professional looking for challenges in an exciting and dynamic market.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex actuarial projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Advise clients on complex issues such as capital optimization, risk management, product strategy, and regulatory change.
- Oversee finance transformation projects, including automation, data strategy, and process optimization within the Insurance industry.
- Lead delivery of actuarial engagements including audit support, Solvency II, IFRS 17 transformation, reserving methodologies, Employee benefits according to IAS 19 and M&A due diligence.
- Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for actuarial matters.
- Oversee and mentor team members, fostering technical capability and career growth.
- Drive business development through proposals, networking, and thought leadership.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives including automation, cloud-based actuarial systems, and data governance.
Essential skills and experience:
- Master's degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Fellowship in a recognized actuarial body (SSA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Slovak language skills (German language skills are welcome)
- Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience in life and non-life insurance, reinsurance, risk management or consulting.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial software and tools (e.g., Prophet, Pathwise, Excel, R, Python, SAS) are more than welcome.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Commercial mindset and the ability to identify and capture new opportunities.
- Strong client-facing skills and experience in providing actuarial counseling
- Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership style
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
