Job Description

We are currently seeking an eager and exceptional Paralegal/Administrative Assistant in our Santa Monica office. The person in this position will provide paralegal support to litigation attorneys in the Business and Legal Affairs Department. Responsibilities include assisting with quarterly legal reports, supporting piracy and infringement policing, responding to discovery requests and subpoenas, researching claims, reviewing contracts, and preparing legal documents. The role also involves administrative tasks like file management, correspondence, expense reimbursements, and travel arrangements.
Must have:
  • Assist with comprehensive quarterly report of legal matters
  • Support policing of piracy and infringement on the internet and social media
  • Draft cease and desist letters
  • Provide evidence of copyright ownership, including collecting chain of title documentation
  • Assist in responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, liens, and levies
  • Research claims asserted against company
  • Review and summarize contracts
  • Prepare and revise agreements, charts, memoranda, correspondence and other documents
  • Liaise with IT, office services and other internal personnel to resolve day-to-day issues and handle administrative matters
  • Create physical and electronic files; search and retrieve files
  • Draft and send letters and other routine correspondence
  • Handle expense reimbursements and travel arrangements
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors

How we LEAD:

How you'll CREATE:

  • Assist with a comprehensive quarterly report of legal matters affecting the company, including liaising with other attorneys, departments and agencies for updated information
  • Support the policing of piracy and infringement on the internet and social media, drafting cease and desist letters, and providing evidence of copyright ownership, including collecting chain of title documentation
  • Assist in responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, liens, and levies
  • Research claims asserted against company
  • Review and summarize contracts
  • Prepare and revise agreements, charts, memoranda, correspondence and other documents
  • Liaise with IT, office services and other internal personnel to resolve day-to-day issues and handle administrative matters
  • Create physical and electronic files; search and retrieve files on an ongoing basis
  • Draft and send letters and other routine correspondence
  • Handle expense reimbursements and travel arrangements
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Experience:

  • Advanced computer experience: Microsoft Word (including tables and redlining), Excel
  • Prior paralegal or contract analysis experience is a plus

Education:

  • BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university
