Brahma, part of the DNEG Group, is seeking an AI Audio Engineer to join its expanding voice AI pipeline. This role involves preparing and refining high-quality vocal data for model training and inference, collaborating with AI engineers to enhance voice AI output quality, realism, and performance. The engineer will clean and enhance audio, manage large audio datasets, and provide expert feedback on AI-generated voices, staying updated on audio engineering and AI advancements.
Must have:
  • Proven experience as an audio engineer, with a focus on voice work and vocal processing.
  • Expertise in mainstream audio tools, including Pro Tools, Izotope, and similar platforms.
  • Strong grasp of audio processing techniques (e.g., noise reduction, equalisation, compression).
  • Foundational understanding of voice model training and an intuitive sense for optimisation.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Good to have:
  • Prior experience collaborating with AI or machine learning teams.
  • Basic scripting skills or experience with Python and machine learning tools.
  • Interest in machine learning workflows and voice model training.

We are searching for a talented AI Audio Engineer with a refined ear for voice work to strengthen our expanding voice AI pipeline. In this role, you’ll prepare and refine high-quality vocal data for model training and inference, collaborate closely with our AI engineers and development teams to boost the quality, realism and performance of our voice AI outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and enhance audio: Utilise industry-standard tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Izotope) to clean, mix, and enhance vocal tracks for optimal quality.
  • Manage audio datasets: Prepare and work with large audio datasets to support the training and improvement of voice AI models.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with development and modeling teams to refine voice model outputs and elevate overall quality.
  • Provide expert feedback: Creatively assess the realism, clarity, and fidelity of AI-generated voices, offering actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Trends: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in audio engineering and AI to continually enhance our processes.

Must Haves
