As a Developer Experience Engineering Leader, you will: Drive technical vision and strategy for building, evolving, and scaling distributed infrastructure and platforms that accelerate Apple’s search capabilities—empowering developer teams company-wide to iterate, validate, and deliver best-in-class features, safely and at scale. Architect robust systems for large-scale experimentation, automated testing, and continuous integration of Search infrastructure, ensuring high reliability, efficiency, and security across products and platforms. Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, AI/ML, product, and executive teams to align platform architecture with Apple’s long-term product roadmap and developer experience goals. Mentor and inspire technical excellence across the organization, shaping culture, fostering talent development, and establishing best practices for scalable infrastructure and developer productivity. Deliver impactful results by designing solutions that push the boundaries of performance, efficiency, and quality—ultimately redefining the search experience on a global scale. Setting strategic direction for the developer experience organization—shaping architectural decisions and long-term vision across products and teams. Streamlining both inner and outer development loops, enhancing reliability, driving automation, and drastically reducing toil for engineering teams. Pioneering and implementing advanced validation and testing methodologies to elevate product quality and engineering velocity. Rolling up your sleeves to tackle the bugs and technical debt that others shy away from—making a real difference where it matters most.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $201,300 and $367,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
