The Americas Indirect Sourcing Leader at Wabtec will develop, implement, and lead the Indirect Sourcing strategy across the Americas, focusing on site spend categories like MRO, Facilities, Utilities, and Temporary Labor. This role involves collaborating with Global Operations, business P&Ls, functions, and internal stakeholders to drive strategy and achieve cost reduction commitments. The Global Indirect Team manages procurement of goods and services, optimizing supplier performance, reducing costs, ensuring compliance, and supporting internal stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Lead an Americans focused team of indirect sourcing professionals accountable for approximately $250 Million USD in regional spend
  • Accountable to develop, deploy & continuously improve commodity strategies for all site focused spend categories aligned with corporate goals
  • Negotiates global and regional contracts to secure best-in-market pricing and service
  • Drive cost savings and value creation across all indirect spend categories.
  • Deliver results and lead strategic sourcing initiatives including but not limited to spend analysis, supplier analysis and negotiations
  • Locate, analyze and develop a consolidated strategic supplier base to support current and future business needs
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal customers – position Wabtec’s Global Indirect team as a value-add partner for all internal stakeholders
  • Promote a collaborative, team-oriented approach to continuously improve quality, increase delivery reliability and reduce risk

Who will you be working with?

Wabtec’s Global Indirect Team manages the procurement of goods and services that support daily operations for the organization. The Indirect Sourcing team works to optimize supplier performance, reduce costs, ensure compliance and support internal stakeholders across Wabtec.

How will you make a difference?

The Americas Indirect Sourcing Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the Indirect Sourcing strategy across Wabtec Corporation in the Americas with a focus on site spend (MRO, Facilities, Utilities, and Temporary Labor). This will require working directly within Global Operations as well as with business P&Ls, functions, regions and internal stakeholders to drive the strategy and deliver on the cost out commitments to the organization.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR 10+ years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement, Program Management, or Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Sourcing with a preference in Indirect Sourcing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading teams
  • Experience in large scale manufacturing preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $117,900.00-$168,000.00. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
