This role requires technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Your Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements and related SEC filings (e.g., Forms N-CSR, N-PORT) across mutual funds, CITs, and alternative investment products.
  • Coordinate with auditors, custodians, service providers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality reports on schedule.
  • Support year-end audits and ad hoc financial projects across fund structures and reporting platforms.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and strengthen regulatory compliance.

Fund Expense Management:

  • Lead the preparation and oversight of fund operating expense accruals and financial statement support schedules.
  • Analyze and forecast fund expenses to support annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
  • Manage disbursements, regulatory filings (e.g., Form 1099, SEC Form 24f-2), and board reporting materials.
  • Evaluate and enhance documentation of internal processes and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Up to two years of relevant experience in fund administration, financial reporting, or accounting within asset management.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; IFRS experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, LLCs, and partnership accounting.
  • Solid understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other applicable regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders and collaborating across functions.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Confluence Unity) highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during key reporting cycles as needed.
