Description

Role Overview

We are hiring an Analyst/ Senior Analyst to support the building and evolution of Euromonitor’s Product Claims solution. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, New Product Development, this role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in understanding how brands position themselves and appeal to consumers across a diverse range of claims spanning topics such as health and wellness, sustainability, functional benefits, and need states.

The role suits individuals with a structured approach to research, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams, even without deep prior expertise in product claims. A curiosity to learn and the confidence to work with large datasets are essential.

Requirements

As a Claims Analyst/ Senior Analyst, your primary focus will be on researching, validating, and enhancing structured data assets related to product claims across markets and categories. You will interpret product information, align it with internal classification frameworks, and ensure outputs are accurate, regionally relevant, and logically consistent. Specifically, you will:

  • Build and maintain knowledge of product claims and certifications (e.g., “Organic”, “Vegan”, “For Sensitive Skin”, “Probiotic”) to support the continuous improvement of our existing 1000+ attribute list.
  • Research individual key claims (e.g., Organic, Vegan, etc.) and drive a systemised approach to collecting, documenting, and storing findings for each, ensuring insights are easily accessible across teams and projects.
  • Identify mismatches between claims and product categories (e.g., “Vegan” in processed red meat or “Grass Fed” in shelf-stable fruit) to uphold data accuracy and consistency.
  • Evaluate retailer coverage to ensure SKUs from the most relevant retailers per industry and country are well represented in claims datasets.
  • Conduct scheduled quality control checks to identify anomalies such as year-on-year growth inconsistencies, per capita discrepancies, or incorrect brand–category matches.
  • Liaise with the Data Quality team to ensure claim-related matching errors are corrected in the source dataset by the Data Science team.
  • Support the creation and improvement of data-checking and visualisation tools using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Contribute to syndicated and custom Sustainability and/or Health & Wellness projects through research, analysis, and client deliverables.
  • Explore and evaluate new data sources, methods, and classification frameworks to strengthen product claims coverage and quality.
  • Respond to client queries, providing clear, accurate, and well-supported explanations of claims data and methodology.
