Our Analytics Engineer team
As an Analytics Engineering Manager here at Nubank, we are the bridge between business needs and the data platform. We make data available to all of Nubank, always thinking about the best modeling, governance, and performance. In addition, we share best practices and create new tools so that all data consumers can work in a more organized, efficient, and secure way.

You will be responsible for
- Leading data projects with great autonomy from mapping requirements in the business context, to database modeling and data provisioning;
- Proposing pipelines to perform data ingestion, sometimes from scratch;
- Designing the necessary data solutions, supporting the team in documenting, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our data codes and tools;
- Identifying opportunities for improvements and scalability in our ETL/ELT platform;
- Translating business needs into solutions and products aligned with the data platform's tools and strategies;
- Negotiating with stakeholders a data strategy that generates great impact, always aligned with Nubank's data governance;
- Mentoring team members and promoting data literacy at Nubank.
We are looking for someone who
- Has at least 5 years of experience in data engineering - environments with complexity and/or scale and big data utilization;
- Is capable of writing SQL queries to solve highly complex problems in an optimized way and perform data modeling;
- Is passionate about data;
- Has notions of good software engineering practices (e.g., Documentation, automated tests, clean code, etc.);
- Has experience in implementing and maintaining data pipelines from scratch;
- Has strong programming experience with general-purpose languages (e.g., Python, R, Scala, etc.);
- Has good communication skills to deal with stakeholders from technical and business areas;
- Has knowledge of different database architecture and modeling techniques for analytical purposes (e.g., Data Mart, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, etc.);
- Has the ability to abstract business concepts into quantitative metrics (e.g., KPIs, OKRs, etc.);
- Has good communication skills to deal with stakeholders from technical and business areas;
- Has Advanced English (B2+ level according to CEFR).

Our Nu Way of Working model
