Lead and mentor a team of Analytics Engineers, driving innovation in data engineering and analytics. Develop a deep understanding of marketing verticals to make informed decisions. Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, ELT pipelines, and analytical tools. Own marketing data technical health, ensuring best practices and standards are met. Contribute to cross-functional standards and governance groups. Champion data quality and employ cutting-edge technologies like BigQuery, dbt, Looker, and Airflow. Collaborate with game product teams to enhance product success and operational efficiency. The role requires expertise in the modern data stack and exceptional SQL skills.
Must have:

- Exceptional SQL skills

Good to have:

Technical Lead of Analytics Engineering
Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Technical Lead of Analytics Engineering to join our Marketing team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!

What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Analytics Engineers, driving innovation and excellence in data engineering and analytics
- Develop a deep understanding of each marketing vertical you are responsible for, providing you with the necessary context to make informed decisions
- Oversee the development and maintenance of robust, scalable data models, ELT pipelines, and analytical tools
- Own marketing data technical health, ensuring best practices and standards are of the highest level, technical products meet performance expectations and alignment with cross-game standards
- Contributing to cross-functional standards and governance groups and ensuring marketing-specific tracking is implemented with the highest level of accuracy and completeness
- Champion data quality, ensuring consistency and reliability across a wide array of data products
- Employ cutting-edge technologies like BigQuery, dbt, Looker, and Airflow.
- Collaborate with game product teams and other departments, focusing on enhancing product success and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for solving complex data puzzles and translating business needs into robust analytics solutions
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding and growing analytics teams
- Expertise in the modern data stack, including tools like BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Airflow, GitHub, and command line-based workflows
- Exceptional SQL skills and extensive experience in analytics or a related field
- A deep understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices
- An appreciation for both business context and technical excellence in solution development
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset, taking pride in contributing to high-functioning teams
- A sense of fun at work – additional skills in Ping Pong or Mario Kart are a bonus
