Zinnia is seeking an API Software Engineer I to join their team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role involves executing the product's vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable, API-first, and persona-driven customer identity and access management system. The engineer will design and implement API policies, develop enterprise API solutions using platforms like Kong, and integrate CIAM solutions for internal and external APIs, collaborating to extend capabilities for clients.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
  • 2+ years of software development experience using typescript frameworks like NestJS
  • Understanding in supporting APIs
  • Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3
  • Working knowledge of common DevOps tasks (Environment provisioning, CI/CD Pipelines, application monitoring)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

WHO YOU ARE:

As a Software engineer, you will execute on product’s vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable, API first and persona-driven customer identity and access management system, which collectively result in the best end-to-end Life & Annuities solution in the industry. You will partner with fellow engineers to create a reusable, predictable, and discoverable design and development framework allowing rapid, consistent, and maintainable customer authentication and authorization solutions. We are seeking a team player with leadership experience, exceptional users and API security skills, and a proven track record of successful delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design and implement API policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Develop enterprise API solutions using an industry leading API platform (Kong).

• Integrate the enterprise CIAM solution for all internal and external APIs.

• Collaborate with CIAM team to extend its capability to serve our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

• 2+ years of software development experience using typescript frameworks like NestJS.

• Understanding in supporting APIs.

• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.

• Working knowledge of common DevOps tasks (Environment provisioning, CI/CD Pipelines, and application monitoring).

• Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently. Effective strategic thinking skills.

• Expert level communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Expert level troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, distributed team.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
