This Area Sales Manager role in Medan involves prospecting and growing clients in the social commerce market, primarily through continuous cold calling and arranging sales meetings. The manager will track prospects, identify decision-makers, and offer suitable solutions. Key responsibilities include managing client accounts, closing sales, and maintaining relationships by providing support and guidance. The role also requires staying updated on industry trends, collaborating with management for market assessment, preparing reports, and managing a team of 5-10 members. This position is crucial for driving sales and maintaining client relationships within the logistics industry.
Must have:
  • Prospecting & Growing clients in the social commerce market
  • Continuous cold calling of prospective clients
  • Arrange sales meetings with prospective clients
  • Track prospects and identify decision-makers
  • Identify best solutions for client needs
  • Identify service improvements and new services
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitors
  • Managing key clients accounts
  • Closing sales and maintaining client relationships
  • Provide support, information, and guidance to clients
  • Research and recommend new opportunities
  • Recommend profit and service improvements
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day relationships
  • Work closely with management and other departments
  • Assist in market assessment efforts
  • Provide on-the-ground insights
  • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information
  • Contribute to team effort
  • Manage a team of 5-10 members

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Growing clients in the social commerce market
  • Continuous cold calling of prospective clients (UMKM/Social Commerce Sellers)
  • Arrange sales meetings with prospective clients
  • Track prospects - identify decision-makers, specific qualifications, the best solution that company can offer - to specific client’s need
  • Identifies service improvements or new services by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Managing key clients accounts
  • Closing sales and maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • Managing and monitoring of day-to-day relationships and communications
  • Closely work with management and other departments to assist in market assessment efforts and provide on-the-ground insights
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Manage team consist of 5-10 members

Requirements

  • Located in Medan area
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Sales Executive/Business Development/Acquisition Executive, preferably experience logistic/last mile industry
  • Experienced as a team leader and ever to manager up to supervisor level
  • Critical and fast thinking related to understanding a prospect's interest level in a Small Medium Enterprise environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, high energy, positive attitude
  • Able to handle rejection and pressure
  • Skilled in Communication, Business Negotiation, Customer Acquisition Management, Customer Management, Logistic Solution Sales, Ms. Office, and Service Orientation
