Art Director

Want to lead the look and feel of hit mobile games? We’re looking for an Art Director to join our team and shape the visual direction of projects from concept to execution. You’ll be the creative force behind Outfit7 game worlds—an expert in concept art and design, with a wide visual vocabulary and a solid grasp of production pipelines. In this role you will

• Collaborate with other project leads in implementing a coherent game vision, contributing meaningfully to all aspects of the creative process.
• Maintain high aesthetic standards while crafting flow, visual storytelling, and progression.
• Provide concepts, style guides, paintovers, and supporting documentation for clear, high-level visual direction and vision.
• Motivate, mentor, and support our team of artists with clear, consistent direction.
• Assist in maintaining milestones and general art schedules with the art production team.
• Take responsibility for the quality of all milestones and deliverables as they relate to the art department.
• Lead the artistic direction for ongoing content in live games, maintaining their established visual styles and artistic visions.
• Maintain the company’s high standards for art in terms of quality, style, and brand consistency.

What we’re looking for

• High level of creativity and originality, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of styles.
• Ability to balance the artistic vision with obtaining consensus from a talented team of artists and game makers.
• Strong team player, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven, seasoned ability to visually express ideas and vision in an inspirational and exciting fashion.
• Good understanding of bleeding-edge art techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).

Your experience

• 5+ years of games industry experience, with a track record of working on shipped games and a comprehensive portfolio.
• Experience in similar role is a must.
• Strong background in visual arts, with a solid understanding of 2D and 3D design principles.
• Unity experience is a plus.
