Job Description

An Assembler I is responsible for assembling components according to customer specifications, ensuring quality standards. Duties include setting up work areas, fitting parts, operating hand tools, and stacking finished products. They also maintain a clean and safe work environment, complete equipment inspections, maintain records, and participate in safety programs. The role requires adherence to safety and quality procedures. The job offers hourly pay with potential for incentive bonuses, and various benefits.

Job Details

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Hourly/Salary Pay Range:  $17-$19 hourly dependent on experience*

                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living 

Bonus/Incentive Pay (appropriate item below would be inserted based on the job):

For hourly positions with incentive pay:  Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.  A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
