Job Summary
EA SPORTS is seeking a motivated individual for a 12-month Associate Development Manager position within the EA SPORTS Academy. This role offers an immersive learning experience to build foundational knowledge, mentorship, and experience for aspiring Development Directors. The Associate Development Manager will oversee various disciplines including artists, designers, software engineers, and QA staff, acting as the project schedule keeper to guide the development team through different phases. You will collaborate with producers and directors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within quality standards, and within budget. Key responsibilities include managing task goals, achieving project deliverables, mitigating risks, and partnering with production to manage scope and quality. Project management duties involve establishing project schedules, determining resource needs, and managing budgets.

This 12 month position, will provide you an immersive learning experience that establishes the foundation for knowledge, mentorship and experience for the next generation of Development Directors (DDs) in EA SPORTS.
What an Associate Development Manager (ADM) does at EA:
The Associate Development Manager manages a variety of disciplines including artists, designers, software engineers, QA and other production staff. ADM's are the keepers of the project schedule and help move the development team from one project phase to the next while ensuring collaboration and communication. You will report to a Development Director, and partner with Producers and Directors to ensure the project is managed on time, to quality, and within budget.
You have experience in the following:
Developing working relationships with an immediate team and those outside of the immediate team that have an effect on the completion of the project
Providing line management to employees across departments
Communicating within a team and coordinating tasks with multiple stakeholders
You will do the following:
Execution:
Establish and assign task goals from defined project goals; achieve project deliverables through managing team at a project-level (e.g. Franchise-wide level);
Collaborating with cross-team disciplines to manage delivery of dependencies
Mitigate risk for assigned scope
Partner with production to manage scope and quality
Project management:
Establish an overall project schedule based on the individual task estimates for production
Determine the resource requirements to meet the task requirements
Establish a project budget, determine task requirements, and assign tasks to team resources
Requirements:
University degree, bachelor's or equivalent professional experience
Previous project management or team leadership experience is an asset
Experience in different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile is an asset

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $79,900 - $111,900 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
