Job Summary:

The Associate Manager’s main role is to generate a holistic understanding of consumers in China through multiple sources of data not limited to ongoing trackers, ad-hoc insight projects and desk research.

He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day project management and insight generation, which help inform strategy decisions across all lines of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of inbound visitation and arrival studies about Mainland Chinese, in particular GBA that supports commercial development such as pricing, market sizing, sales channel, etc
  • Work with team supervisor to field and analyze primary research data, including the management of supplier relationships
  • Develop and manage KPI tracking & consumer sentiments to understand business performance and consumer trends in the context of the macro environment and the Disney resort
  • Synthesize with external data source to understand the market and resort visitation trends to support business planning across multiple lines of business
  • Present and communicate research results and insights to stakeholders across the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, applied mathematics, statistics, business or social sciences, or related disciplines
  • Min. of 6 years of working experience in executing customized research projects, preferable experience gained from Travel or Entertainment industry
  • Solid knowledge in leading customized market research projects for Mainland China is a must, social listening and consumer trend is a plus
  • Ability to translate technical and fact-based findings into actionable recommendations or insights
  • Strong collaboration skills to engage and work closely with multiple stakeholders under fast-faced environment
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Excellent skill on Microsoft Office and data manipulation (e.g. Macros)
  • Knowledge in VBA, data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and programming (e.g. SQL, Python) is advantage
