Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Drive the development and execution of TVA’s current series and new content initiatives, ensuring creative excellence and brand alignment.
- Talent Collaboration: Partner with writers, producers, showrunners, and creative teams to shape compelling narratives and character-driven storytelling.
- Content Evaluation: Review scripts, treatments, and pitches to identify high-potential projects that reflect TVA’s creative vision and audience strategy.
- Strategic Oversight: Provide guidance throughout the development and production lifecycle, balancing creative ambition with operational feasibility.
- Industry Engagement: Represent TVA at industry events, festivals, and panels, maintaining awareness of market trends and emerging talent.
- Operational Management: Oversee budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring timely execution and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with talent, agents, external partners, and internal stakeholders across Disney Entertainment Television.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in television development or production at a network, studio, or production company.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful animated content
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor creative teams.
- Excellent creative judgment and storytelling instincts.
- Deep industry relationships and knowledge of the animation and television landscape.
- Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television, Communications, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $340,800 to $457,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
