This position is for a Systems Engineer to work on the performance analysis, evaluation, and architecture of automotive hardware. The responsibilities include studying Qualcomm automotive chipset architectures, understanding customer requirements, analyzing architecture for performance optimization, defining use-case flows, evaluating the impact of product features, and validating performance on pre/post silicon platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in system engineering or related fields. The role requires collaboration with product marketing and customers to optimize feature support. The candidate will be involved in debugging performance issues and working with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Python.
  • Strong systems mindset for design analysis.
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, IPCs.
Good to have:
  • Prior automotive experience is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of computer architecture.
  • Knowledge of multimedia subsystems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in debugging system performance issues.
  • IP HW architecture experience is a plus

We are seeking system engineers with 5-10 years of experience for our efforts in the performance analysis/evaluation and architecture of our automotive hardware. Successful candidates with get an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment on cutting edge technologies that span Multimedia, Compute and Machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities: The job responsibilities may include the following or related activities:

  • Detailed study of the various Qualcomm automotive chipset architectures.
  • Understand customer requirements and map their requirements to the capabilities of the various automotive chipset offerings.
  • Architecture analysis for performance optimization
  • Defining use-case flows for automotive use cases and dynamic simulations for the same
  • Understanding product features and evaluating their impact on system performance.
  • Working with product marketing, customers to come up with best possible feature support available at given system configurations.
  • Performance validation and debugging performance issues in pre/post silicon platforms

Minimum Qualifications: 5-10 years Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • Candidates should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong programming skills and hands on experience in any of the programming languages: C/C++/Python
  • Strong systems mindset to understand and analyze all aspects of a design (power/performance/area/architecture).
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, IPCs.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Prior automotive experience is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of computer architecture and SoC infrastructure (NoC, Memory controller, Cache, DDR, QoS, MMU) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of multimedia subsystems(camera, video/audio, graphics, display) is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in performance/power analysis is highly desirable
  • Experience in debugging system performance issues on pre/post silicon platforms is a plus
  • IP HW architecture experience is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
