Job Description
Papaya is looking for an An Automation Engineer with deep Unity expertise to maintain and enhance our automated testing capabilities. This role is ideal for an engineer who excels at improving test frameworks, increasing regression test coverage, and building internal tools to streamline QA processes for our games.
Must have:
- Maintain and improve our Unity test automation framework
- Develop automated test scenarios to expand regression coverage
- Build internal tools and utilities for smooth test execution
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to define testable requirements
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for fast release cycles
- Analyze automation test results and implement system stability improvements
- Strong knowledge of Unity Editor and C# scripting
- A team player who enjoys working with others
Good to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming concepts, including the use of Async and Await
- Passion for games

Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve our Unity test automation framework, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop automated test scenarios to expand regression coverage across gameplay and core functionalities.
- Build internal tools and utilities to support smooth test execution, reporting and developer workflows.
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA teams to define testable requirements and ensure continuous test coverage.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable release cycles.
- Analyze automation test results, recommend and implement improvements to system stability.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven Unity development expertise OR 2+ years experience in test automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Unity Editor and C# scripting. - A Must
- Proven experience maintaining or extending automated testing frameworks in Unity or similar engines.
- Solid understanding of QA principles and methodologies, version control (Git), and bug tracking systems.
- Experience in iOS and Android in Unity development and deployment
- A team player who enjoys working with others.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering - An Advantage
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming concepts, including the use of Async and Await — An advantage.
- Passion for games - Huge Advantage
