Our challenge We are looking for an experienced Automation Resource proficient in Playwright or similar tools (such as Selenium) to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, seamless CI/CD integration, and robust validation of both UI and backend functionalities—including innovative features like GenAI integrations. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Python for functional, UI, and regression testing. * Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.) to facilitate continuous testing and rapid feedback. * Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, coordinate testing activities, and validate business-critical workflows. * Conduct cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure consistent user experiences across various platforms and devices. * Support business users and analysts during UAT phases by troubleshooting issues, capturing feedback, and ensuring successful sign-offs. * Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured to verify backend functionalities. * Work with DevOps teams to maintain stable testing environments, data sets, and test automation infrastructure. * Assist in testing GenAI-driven features, validating output accuracy, prompt behavior, and ensuring alignment with use case requirements. * Document testing activities thoroughly, including test plans, test cases, results, defect reports, and test data management. Requirements: * Proven experience 8+ years, excellent in automation testing with Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks. * Strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages. * Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines. * Knowledge of UI, functional, regression, and cross-browser testing techniques. * Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured. * Understanding of GenAI or AI-driven application testing (preferred). * Experience working across agile teams and supporting UAT activities. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills coupled with excellent communication skills. Preferred, but not required: * Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and test data management. * Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems. * Knowledge of scripting for performance testing or security testing is a plus.
