Job Description

The Automation QA Engineer will design, develop, and execute automation scripts. They will perform functional and regression testing to identify and track software defects, collaborating with development and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. The role involves writing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases, troubleshooting and debugging automation scripts, reviewing test cases, and participating in agile sprint planning and retrospectives. This role requires experience with automation testing tools and frameworks and strong problem-solving skills. The candidate should have experience in functional and regression testing, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Must have:
  • Experience in test automation using Playwright.
  • Hands-on expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Experience in functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Details

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
  • Perform functional and regression testing
  • Identify and track software defects
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software

Skills:

  • Experience in test automation using Playwright.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one of the following languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience in functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing
  • Prior experience with Selenium and Java

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Write, maintain, and execute automated test cases
  • Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts
  • Review test cases and provide feedback
  • Participate in agile sprint planning and retrospectives

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
