Position Overview:

We're on the hunt for a talented Backend QA Specialist / Data Tester to join our team and play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the integrity and reliability of our cutting-edge data platform.


You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality of our data lakehouse solution, ETL pipelines, and business reports and dashboards. You'll leverage your strong SQL querying skills to validate data accuracy and completeness, ensuring our data solutions meet the highest standards. Responsibilities:

Design and Execute Data Testing Strategies: Develop test plans and scenarios for data solutions, including functional, non-functional (performance, scalability, security), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure Data Quality and Integrity with SQL: Conduct thorough testing of data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, and BI tools, leveraging strong SQL querying knowledge to verify data integrity, completeness, and accuracy.
• Automate Testing Processes: Create and maintain automated test scripts for data solutions, focusing on regression testing to improve efficiency and prevent new defects.
• Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements, prioritise defect resolution, and ensure seamless integration of testing into the development lifecycle.
• Monitor, Document, and Improve: Track defects, document all testing processes and results, and continuously contribute to the improvement of testing practices and quality assurance across the data team.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
•  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field.

•  3+ years of data testing experience, specifically with functional and non-functional testing of data platforms (ETL pipelines, data lakes, warehouses, BI tools) in Agile/SCRUM environments
• Strong SQL querying knowledge for data quality and integrity testing
• Knowledge of test automation and defect management, including experience with tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and Git is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on data quality, attention to detail, and analytical skills to identify and resolve defects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to new technologies.
