Job Description
- Senior Backup Administrator is responsible for ensuring the security and accessibility of an organization’s data by managing and implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- This role involves working closely with IT teams to design, monitor, and optimize backup systems and processes.
- Backup Management: Configure and manage backup and recovery systems and processes.
- Monitoring: Perform regular backups of critical data and test to verify recovery capabilities.
- Troubleshooting: Monitor backup systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of backup and recovery procedures and policies.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute disaster recovery plans.
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams and stakeholders to establish data retention and archival policies.
- Implementation: Assist in the selection and implementation of new backup and recovery solutions.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices
