Job Description

As a Business Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for the entire analytics value delivery for Consumer Lending, understanding the lending landscape and the ecosystem of products and services at PhonePe. You will lead a team of analysts, designing the right team structure, and setting a high bar for data-driven problem-solving. You will collaborate with business and product functions to translate business problems into analytical statements, driving business actions and product decisions by generating insights from data. You will also be an integral part of the pod strategy and influence stakeholders across various functions to drive initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of analytics experience in relevant roles.
  • 2+ years in a Product Analytics role.
  • Experience leading analytics teams as a people manager.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling large-scale data and working on SQL.
Good to have:
  • Experience in the e-commerce or quick commerce industry.
  • Experience building dashboards.
  • Data modeling skills.
  • Statistical modeling experience through Python or R.

 The gig

  • Own the entire analytics value delivery for Consumer Lending through a team of analysts. The work involves understanding lending landscape and the ecosystem of products and services built to support Personal loan at PhonePe
  • Own end-to-end analytics support - including ownership of designing the right team structure, hiring, capability building & setting and maintaining a high bar for data driven problem solving
  • Collaborate closely with the business, and product functions to understand the business problem and translate them into the right analytical problem statement
  • Work with the team to drive business actions & product decisions by generating insights from data and work on a holistic analysis to provide unbiased answers to various problem statements
  • Have a strong problem solving mindset and be able to apply the right analytical approach for solving the same.
  • Be able to influence stakeholders across various functions to drive initiatives & data driven decision making
  • Be an integral part of the pod strategy and go beyond being an analytics counterpart

Job requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of analytics experience in relevant roles, with at least 2 years in a Product Analytics role
  • Experience leading analytics team as a people manager
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Penchant for business & curiosity to understand how the product works
  • Experienced in handling large scale data and working on analyses using SQL
  • Experience in e-commerce or quick commerce industry is a plus
  • Understanding of dashboarding principles and prior experience building such dashboards. Experience of working on QlikSense is a plus
  • Data modeling skills to manage ETL at scale by understanding data flow in the organization
  • Statistical modelling experience through Python or R is a good-to-have
