Seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager with 5+ years in the Polymer Industry to drive market presence, forge strategic alliances, and achieve revenue growth. Responsibilities include deep market analysis, crafting sales strategies, managing P&L targets, lead generation, and closing deals within the Polymer Industry ecosystem. The role also involves identifying market gaps, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring regulatory compliance for speciality chemicals like Antioxidants, UV stabilizers, and Pigments.
Must have:
  • Proven history in the Polymer Industry
  • Experience in sales or business development of speciality chemicals (Antioxidants, UV Stabilisers, Plasticizers, Colour Pigments, Titanium Dioxide, Fillers, PV Stabilizers)
  • Ability to dive deep into market dynamics and identify opportunities
  • Skill in crafting sales strategies and acquiring customers
  • Proven ability to crush P&L targets and manage cash flows
  • Experience in lead generation, strategic prospecting, and conversion tactics
  • Ability to establish connections with end customers in the Polymer Industry ecosystem
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills
  • Thorough knowledge of necessary registration procedures for domestic licenses
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development

Position Overview & Responsibilities:

We're on the lookout for an entrepreneurial Business development and marketing Maverick with a proven history in the Polymer Industry. As a key player, you'll be instrumental in shaping our market presence, forging strategic alliances, and driving profitable revenue growth.

Market Analysis:

  • Dive deep into market dynamics and identifying opportunities in the Polymer Industry for India as well as potential export markets.
  • Craft sales strategies fueled by competitive intelligence and real-time market insights to enter new markets and acquire customers with focus on Antioxidants, UV stabilizers, Functional Additives, Pigments, Fillers, etc amongst other speciality chemicals.

Own your PnL:

  • Crush PnL targets and manage cash flows through relentless lead generation, strategic prospecting, and quick conversion tactics.
  • Deliver lightning-fast, accurate sales forecasts and reports to fuel growth engine.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for documentation & process driven order fulfillment.

Hustle for building a Business:

  • Make quick inroads into the market by establishing connections with end customers in the Polymer Industry ecosystem (focus on masterbatches, polymer compounds, PVC, Packaging and Engineering Polymer Industries) across India.
  • Fearlessly negotiate and close deals that propel our growth trajectory for Sales.
  • Swiftly address customer inquiries, continuous improvement for better conversion

Product Prowess:

  • Figure out gaps in the market with focus on above mentioned industries and product categories to to build a profitable business
  • Stay on the bleeding edge of industry trends, product innovations, and regulatory shifts in the export Industrial Chemical market.
  • Having thorough knowledge of necessary registration procedures for domestic licenses and work with internal teams to get it executed for compliant business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. MBA is a power-up.
  • A minimum of 5 years of turbo-charged experience in sales or business development of Antioxidants, UV Stabilisers, Plasticizers, Colour Pigments, Titanium Dioxide, Fillers, PV Stabilizers and other additives with a spotlight on India and experience in exports would be a positive.
  • Experience in selling commodity polymers with a strong customer network can be considered as well.
  • Expertise in above mentioned products, coupled with a keen sense of market trends and adaptive regulatory understanding.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain impactful business relationships.
  • The role requires candidates with an affinity for action and needs to adapt to a fast-moving environment
  • Self-motivated, numbers focussed, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
