Databricks is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) for the Benelux region, based in Amsterdam. This hybrid role is ideal for an early-career sales professional eager to scale a leading enterprise software company in data analytics and AI. The BDR will focus on generating new business opportunities, conducting research, engaging prospects through various channels, and partnering with the sales team to build pipeline and drive adoption, contributing to a dynamic regional team.
Must have:
  • Rapidly develop skill-set around value-based selling, big data and AI
  • Provide great customer experience for prospective customers
  • Conduct account and prospect research for compelling outreach campaigns
  • Maintain active inbound and outbound communications with prospects
  • Partner with sales team to develop territory strategy, build pipeline, and increase adoption
  • Uncover and identify client needs and progress conversations into sales opportunities
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience
  • Determination to succeed, learn and build the next best enterprise software company
  • Consistent, measurable over-achievement in past experiences
  • Active listening and questioning in phone-based and in-person scenarios
  • A genuine interest in big data/AI
  • Positive contributor to team and company culture
  • Fluency in Dutch/Flemish (minimum C2 level of proficiency)

Job Details

Databricks operates at the leading edge of the Data Analytics space with a mission to help companies solve the world’s toughest problems. We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to represent Databricks to prospective customers in the Benelux region (Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg). This role is perfect for a sales professional early on in their career, looking to help scale out a game-changing enterprise software company and develop their sales career.

Reporting to the BDR manager, you will be part of a dynamic team of like-minded individuals and have the opportunity to make a difference in a budding regional team. This role will be hybrid in our Amsterdam office.

The impact you will have:

  • Rapidly develop your skill-set around value-based selling, big data and AI
  • Provide a great customer experience for Databricks’ prospective customers
  • Conduct account and prospect research to inform and develop compelling outreach campaigns to increase engagement in a large variety of accounts
  • Maintain active inbound and outbound communications with prospects using tailored follow-up, including personalised email, cold calling and social selling
  • Partner with the wider sales team to develop territory strategy, build a pipeline, and increase adoption
  • Uncover and identify client needs and progress conversations into sales opportunities by communicating how Databricks will meet them effectively

  • Prior successful sales experience is preferred but not necessary

  • Positive contributor to team and company culture
  • Fluency in Dutch/Flemish is required (minimum C2 level of proficiency), strong preference for native speakers. We will only consider candidates who do not speak Dutch, if they show an exceptional fit to the role
