Job Description

The Business Resilience Associate at PwC Middle East supports the establishment and implementation of regional Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems. This entry-level role focuses on acquiring knowledge and driving HSE implementation across all offices in the Middle East, ensuring compliance with regulatory controls and firm policy. Key duties include monitoring HSEMS, incident management, risk assessments, environmental considerations, training, and emergency preparedness to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and contractors.
Must have:
  • Support the establishment and implementation of regional standards of Health, Safety, and Environment management systems.
  • Ensure continual implementation and monitoring of the firm’s Health, Safety and Environment management systems (HSEMS).
  • Cover compliance for all PwC ME firm offices, incident management, risk assessments, environmental considerations, follow-ups, training, awareness, emergency preparedness, and response plans.
  • Coordinate with HSE champions in each office to support them in implementing mitigation measures.
  • Oversee and maintain all documentation related to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environment guidance for staff, office managers, and contractors is maintained.
  • Support in the development of all Business Resilience policies, procedures, processes, and controls.
  • Ensure that all HSE and incident management plans are maintained.
  • Support the review of Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment, Aspects and Impacts Analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or related field preferred).
  • 1-2 years in a corporate environment.
  • Fluency in English required.
Good to have:
  • Experience in HSE is a plus.
  • Health, safety, environment, and/or business continuity certifications are pluses (OSHA, NEBOSH IGC or OTHM OH&S or Environmental MS, NASP, IOSH, ISO 45001, 14001, 22301 (IA, LA, LI), Jordanian HSE Supervisor).
  • Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.

The Business Resilience Associate is part of the Business Resilience team and operates across all lines of service. The position is responsible for supporting the establishment and implementation of regional standards of Health, Safety, and Environment, management systems in

line with any regional regulatory control and ME PwC firm policy. As an entry level role within the Business Resilience team, the role is focused on being able to acquire the knowledge, then drive implementation on the ground, covering all the offices in the Middle East, and offsite locations where applicable. The main duties of the Business Resilience Associate are to ensure continual implementation and monitoring of the firm’s Health, Safety and Environment management systems (HSEMS). This covers compliance for all PwC ME firm offices as well as incident management, risk assessments, environmental considerations, follow-ups, training, awareness, emergency preparedness, emergency response plans and the procedures to ensure the safety of our people, visitors and third-party contractors working in our offices.

Stakeholders

● Coordinate with HSE champions in each office to support them in the implementation of the recommended mitigation measures

● Overseeing and maintaining all documentation related to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with professional standards.

● Ensure Health, Safety and Environment guidance for staff, office managers and contractors are maintained to ensure all parties receive appropriate information in an accurate and timely manner which will ensure the risks identified are managed

● Contribute to the wider management of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) by: Supporting the Business Resilience Team in security and evacuation matters as necessary; Leading or supporting projects or other initiatives; The management of a HSE assistants, setting objectives and work plans to support the HSE function Internal Process

● Supports in the development of all Business Resilience policies, procedures, processes and controls

● Ensure that all HSE and incident management plans are maintained, and support the business continuity program as required

● Support the review of the Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment, Aspects and Impacts Analysis across the region, to identify if the HSE strategies and plans are still appropriate, and where not update accordingly.

● Participate in ad-hoc projects related to HSE and Security and BC where needed Learning & Growth

● Stay up to date with the latest HSE standards, regulations, and best practices. ● Keep informed on new technologies, digital tools, and transformation trends in HSE.

● Engage in continuous learning through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree Preferred: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or related field.

Experience
