C++ Architect – PostgreSQL Integration

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Architect to join our team and play a critical role in a high-impact project involving deep integration with PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will possess strong C++ expertise and demonstrate the ability to quickly ramp up on PostgreSQL C++ libraries, database interactions, and performance optimization techniques.

This role is pivotal to the success of the project and requires a proactive, fast-learning individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance C++ code interacting with PostgreSQL databases.
• Rapidly gain proficiency in PostgreSQL C++ libraries and related tooling.
• Optimize database queries and interactions for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with database experts, architects, and other developers to ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to database and C++ integration.
• Document technical processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in C++ development (minimum 5 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL C++ libraries (e.g., libpqxx) or willingness to quickly ramp up.
• Solid grasp of database optimization, indexing, and query tuning.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in mentoring or being mentored in database technologies.
• Exposure to distributed systems or large-scale data processing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Python or Java, is a plus.
