Camera Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
Job Description
The Camera Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing camera module structures using CAD software. This includes designing injection molded parts, sheet metal components, PCBs, and other relevant components. The role involves creating detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings, conducting tolerance analysis, and collaborating with manufacturing partners. The engineer will also author documentation for mechanical inspection and test requirements, and direct FEA engineers in evaluating camera designs. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design for manufacturability, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment.
Must have:
- Design camera module structures in CAD.
- Design injection molded, sheet metal, and other component parts.
- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings.
- Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs.
- Interface with manufacturing partners on design.
- Author clear documentation on inspection and test requirements.
- Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.
