As the Capital Markets Go-to-Market Leader at Databricks, you will spearhead the GTM strategy for investment banks, exchanges, data providers, and asset managers, significantly accelerating revenue growth. This pivotal role involves acting as the domain expert, building C-suite relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally. You will drive Data+AI modernization, identify key use cases, and develop strategic partnerships. The role requires deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in driving change within Capital Markets, strong executive presence, and exceptional leadership skills to influence broad company strategy and execute improvement plans.
Must have:
  • Drive go-to-market strategy for investment banks, exchanges, data providers, and asset managers.
  • Accelerate revenue growth in the Capital Markets segment.
  • Be the domain expert and business executive for Capital Markets within Databricks.
  • Set the vision and build executive relationships with C-suite across customers and partners.
  • Work with a cross-functional team across Databricks.
  • Strong POV on how Data+AI will transform Capital Markets.
  • Understanding of unique business/regulatory challenges in each sub-segment.
  • Ability to have strategic conversations with CxOs.
  • Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to identify top use cases and build repeatable sales programs.
  • Become a trusted advisor to Executives on achieving business goals with Data+AI modernization.
  • Collaborate with partnership team to develop strategic relationships with Systems Integrators.
  • Partner with ISV and Data Marketplace teams to drive adoption of the data-sharing ecosystem.
  • Influence broad company strategy for Capital Markets.
  • Identify operational gaps in Capital Markets GTM motion and execute improvement plans.
  • Act as a credible thought leader by authoring white papers and speaking at events.
  • Collaborate with enablement team to enhance field knowledge of strategic priorities and regulations.
  • Partner with marketing to develop tailored Capital Markets case studies and demand generation plans.
  • Minimum 10+ years experience as an executive at a top Investment Bank, Brokerage, Asset Manager, or consulting firm.
  • Proven record of driving change at Capital Markets organizations.
  • Strong customer-facing presence and ability to cultivate executive relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical landscape in Capital Markets and existing relationships with Hyperscalers.
  • Hands-on experience with program managing complex technology initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

Job Details

As the Capital Markets Go-to-Market Leader, you will drive the go-to-market strategy for investment banks, exchanges, data providers, and asset managers. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth in this segment. You will be the domain expert and business executive for Capital Markets within Databricks. In this role, you will set the vision, build executive relationships with the C-suite across customers and partners as well as work with a cross-functional team across Databricks. You have a strong POV on how Data+AI will transform Capital Markets, an understanding of the unique business/regulatory challenges in each sub-segment, and the ability to have strategic conversations with CxOs. This job will require travel for conferences, customers and team meetings. You will report to the Global VP of Financial Services, Cyber Security, and Public Sector GTM.

The impact you will have:

  • Work closely with the sales and pre-sales teams to identify top use cases, create account-level plans, and build comprehensive and repeatable sales programs.
  • Become a trusted advisor to Executives on achieving business goals with Data+AI modernization.
  • Collaborate with the partnership team to develop strategic relationships with Systems Integrators and influence their GTM strategy for Capital Markets.
  • Partner with ISV and Data Marketplace teams to drive adoption of the data-sharing ecosystem.
  • Become a trusted advisor to various stakeholders within Databricks from product, sales, pre-sales, and marketing, to partner teams to influence broad company strategy for Capital Markets.
  • Identify operational gaps in the Capital Markets GTM motion, be data-driven about quantifying business opportunities, and execute improvement plans by sub-segment.
  • Act as a credible thought leader across buy/sell-side, data providers, and exchanges by authoring white papers and speaking at events.
  • Collaborate with the enablement team to build programs that enhance the field’s knowledge of core strategic priorities, regulations, and relevant case studies in Capital Markets.
  • Partner with marketing to develop tailored Capital Markets case studies, collateral, blogs, and demand generation plans.

What we look for:

  • You are a doer with deep knowledge of key business-level priorities, workflows, use cases, and Data+AI imperatives in the industry.
  • Minimum 10+ years experience working as an executive at a top Investment Bank, Brokerage, Asset Manager, or consulting firm.
  • Proven record of driving change at Capital Markets organizations both from technical and business perspectives with a strong understanding of how firms make decisions and the ability to influence that decision-making process.
  • Strong customer-facing presence (CXO, IT, and Leaders) and ability to cultivate executive relationships and open doors for the field.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical landscape in Capital Markets and existing relationships with Hyperscalers.
  • Hands-on experience with program managing complex technology initiatives which includes: collecting, tracking, and prioritizing agency requirements, working with technical resources to ensure timelines are met, collaborating with marketing to develop marketing assets and event planning, working with partner teams to track partner relationship progress ensuring key milestones are met.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A collaborative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to drive scalable selling motions for the field are key.
