Job Description

The Chat Moderator role involves protecting Amazon's brands by ensuring their reputation is maintained, creating a positive social experience for all users, and being aware of potential issues on live streams. Responsibilities include moderating comments according to client guidelines, enforcing rules to keep the chat friendly and civil, moderating for insults, offensive language, and inappropriate content, and providing support and mentoring to other moderators. The position is part-time and on-site.

We are Looking for:
Our Live Stream Chat Moderators protect Amazon’s brands and make sure their reputation is kept safe at all times; they are key in providing a positive social experience for all users, while being aware of any potential issues on the live streams.
As a Live Stream Moderator, you are responsible for keeping the chat clean, moderating behavior and enforcing the rules of the stream with the aim to ensure the chat is friendly and civil. This means moderating the chat for insults, offensive language, inappropriate content and spam. In this type of work, you’ll be monitoring incoming social feeds in real time! This is an optional on-site position on a temporary part-time/ad-hoc basis.

 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Moderating live comments in accordance with client-specific guidelines.
  • Carrying out moderation and training accordingly to the times scheduled in the project schedule.
  • Offering support to other moderators who need assistance as well as mentoring new moderators and supporting them.
  • Ban users/comments that violate tenets during HVE.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Excellent US English level: As you’ll be reviewing comments in US English, having outstanding written communication skills and the ability to read between the lines is a must.
  • Ability and feeling comfortable working in fast-paced environments with the ability to multitask and navigate a fast-moving live chat.
  • Ability to be assertive, discerning, and decisive when making judgment calls regarding what is appropriate.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range for this position $20-$23/hour.
